active member
Active Members are physicians who hold a Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree and are licensed by at least one of the State of Tennessee’s Board of Medical Examiners or other State’s governing Board of Examiners.
Active members will have full voting rights and be eligible to hold office until retirement from professional practice. If one qualifies for Active membership, then that individual will not be considered for any other membership category.
healthcare practitioner member
Healthcare Practitioner Members is open to non-physician Pain Management practitioners and member-sponsored associates without prescribing privileges in the State of Tennessee, i.e. counselors, complimentary medicine specialists and other allied health personnel.
Healthcare Practitioner members will be accorded all the privileges of the Society but they do not have voting privileges and are not eligible to hold office in the Society.
trainee member
Trainee Members will be individuals currently in an accredited healthcare profession training program including those executing fellowships.
Trainees may stay in this membership category one (1) additional year after the completion of their training program as they become licensed by his or her respective licensing board and transition into practice.
